Case Study
Supporting an international student from Turkey in renting a high-end apartment in Tokyo
Overview
A student from Turkey came to Japan for study. They had a rental budget and were looking for a larger rental property near a station, ideally with three rooms or more.
Challenges
The student wanted to find a room before arriving in Japan. However, as an international student with no income in Japan, it was difficult to secure a rental property. Therefore, it was necessary for their mother, who was still in Turkey, to be the tenant on the contract.
Solutions
Results
In Japan, rental properties typically require domestic residency status and often mandate the use of a guarantee company. For this case, we found a property that allowed for a fixed-term lease and advance payment of rent, fulfilling the client’s needs.
