Overview
A U.S.-based client approached me with the goal of purchasing a second home in Japan. While he was certain about wanting convenient access to his workplace in Tokyo, he had not yet decided on a specific area.
He also mentioned that he would like to customize the interior himself, so we focused on properties that would allow flexibility for renovation. In addition, many residential properties in Japan are built with relatively lower ceiling heights and door frames, so it was important to find a unit that would comfortably suit his height and overall sense of space.
He also wished to complete the entire purchase — including closing and handover — before his family arrived in Japan.
